Phoning Home: Using social media to help end homelessness

Published on: April 16, 2020

In this episode, I speak with Kevin Adler and Jessica Donig from Miracle Messages, an SF based organization that uses online social media platforms to help people experiencing homelessness connect with their loved ones. They offer a humane approach to ending homelessness by combining human compassion with technological innovation to reconnect families, shatter stigmas, and empower local residents to get involved. They have reunited over 300 families using a mobile app. online forms, and a 1-800-MISS-YOU hotline. Remember, everyone is somebody's somebody.
